1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of wildbnb.com.au (the “website”) and to the habitat packages, products, projects and services supplied by Wildlife Projects Pty Ltd (ABN 52 678 701 025), trading as Wildbnb Wildlife Habitat (“Wildbnb”, “we”, “us”). By using the website or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.
Where your quote or signed proposal includes specific terms, those terms apply alongside these. If they conflict, the terms in your quote or proposal apply.
2. Using this website
- Content on this website is general information about wildlife habitat. It isn’t ecological, legal or pest-management advice for your property.
- Please use the website lawfully. Don’t attempt to interfere with its operation, gain unauthorised access, or copy content in bulk using automated tools.
- Information you send us through the website, including the enquiry form, must be accurate and current.
- If we offer online accounts in future, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and must tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Intellectual property
The website and its content, including photos, videos, text, designs, product names such as Hunk-of-Trunk™, PodHollow™, Hunk-of-Holes™ and HollowHog™, and the Wildbnb name and logo, belong to Wildbnb or its licensors. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t reproduce, adapt or use our content or designs commercially without our written permission.
4. Links to other websites
The website links to websites and services we don’t own or control, such as Vimeo, Instagram and partner websites. We aren’t responsible for their content, privacy policies or practices, and we encourage you to read their terms and privacy policies.
5. Quotes, proposals and packages
- Quotes are valid for 60 days from the quote date and are in Australian dollars. Project quotes are shown excluding GST, with GST added to the total.
- Package prices on this website include GST and installation within our Northern Rivers service area. Travel outside that area is quoted separately.
- Quotes are estimates based on what we know about your site. Final invoices reflect actual costs, which can change with weather delays, supplier price increases or on-site disruptions outside our control.
- Every package includes a site check on installation day. If a package doesn’t suit your site, we may recommend a different solution.
- Prices on the website may change at any time, but the price in your accepted quote won’t change except as described above.
6. Payment
- A deposit of 50% of the quote total is due before we start on site or begin making custom products.
- The balance, adjusted to actual costs, is invoiced on completion of installation and is due within 7 days.
- Ongoing monitoring prices increase by 8% each year, from 1 January.
- We may pause work, monitoring or delivery while an invoice is overdue.
7. Changes and cancellations
- Please tell us as early as possible if you need to change an installation date.
- For commercial clients, work days cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the day rate set out in your quote.
- Custom products such as Hunk-of-Trunk™ hollows are made to order. If you cancel after production has started, we may charge for work completed and materials used.
8. Site access and safety
- You agree to give us safe access to each installation zone on the agreed dates, with vehicle access where possible.
- Please tell us before we arrive about locked gates, livestock, recent spraying or any site hazards.
- We may postpone work if conditions are unsafe, including bad weather.
- Final hollow positions are chosen on the day to give each hollow the best outcome for wildlife.
9. Made-to-order products and delivery
Most of our habitat is installed by our own team. Where we agree to supply products without installation, for example for a large project or another installer:
- Processing time. We usually hold stock, but at busy times products are made to order. Please allow up to 3 weeks before dispatch. If you need products by a specific date, tell us when you order and we’ll do our best to meet it.
- Delivery. We use reliable carriers chosen for your location and the weight of the order. Large orders are shipped on pallets, and delivery costs are quoted separately.
- Tracking. Once your order is dispatched, we’ll email you the tracking details.
- Delivery times. We aim to deliver promptly, but times vary with location and events outside our control, such as carrier delays or bad weather.
- Risk. Products become your responsibility once delivered to the address you gave us.
10. Returns and exchanges
Our products are hand-made by a small team and checked before they leave our workshop. Because they are made or chosen for your site, we don’t offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges, so please review your order carefully and ask us any questions before you confirm it.
This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described, contact us and we’ll repair, replace or refund it as the law requires.
11. Owls-eat-Rats and Beneficial Wildlife sites
Second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs) must not be deployed in the field on Owls-eat-Rats sites, because they poison the owls the program relies on. We may pause or end owl habitat work where SGARs are in use on the site.
12. Wildlife outcomes
Wildlife is unpredictable. We design and place habitat to give it the best chance of being used, but we can’t guarantee which species will use it, when, or whether breeding or pest-control outcomes will occur.
13. Monitoring and maintenance
- Monitoring relies on site access staying the same throughout the project.
- Repairs, repositioning or treatment for invasive species, such as feral honeybees, found during monitoring are quoted separately.
14. Ownership of habitat and equipment
Habitat structures become your property once paid for in full. Monitoring equipment such as wildlife cameras and recorders supplied as part of a service remains our property unless your quote says otherwise.
15. Images and data
We collect images and data during installation and monitoring. We may use them for research, reporting to funding partners and promotion, without identifying you or your property’s location unless you agree. See our Privacy Policy.
16. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights.
17. Disclaimer and liability
- We work to keep the website accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses.
- To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss arising from our goods or services is limited to resupplying the goods or services, or paying the cost of having them resupplied.
- We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, except where the law says we must be.
18. Suspending access to the website
We may suspend or restrict access to the website at any time, including if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached. Clauses that by their nature should continue, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limits on liability, continue after access ends.
19. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that State.
- If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies from the date shown. For material changes affecting ongoing services, we’ll try to give you at least 30 days’ notice.
